50Hertz is one of the companies that pursue a zero-tolerance policy and actively prevent and fight corruption. In addition, 50Hertz is committed to its responsibility with regard to respecting human rights and naturally respects the right to privacy, personal safety, freedom of expression and property rights of employees as well as residents and customers. On the occasion of increased investment activities, we have further developed our prevention programme accordingly. In particular, the whistleblower system established at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH was expanded in accordance with EU Directive 2019/1937 (EU Whistleblower Directive; WBIR) and the German Whistleblower Protection Act (HinSchG) to include the requirements of the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) for setting up a complaint procedure for human rights and environmental violations.

The reporting channels listed below offer not only employees but also business partners or third parties the opportunity to report any violations, anonymously if desired. In accordance with the legally required due diligence in supply chains, either the digital reporting channel via a web-based platform or our legal ombudsman are available to you on the basis of corresponding rules of procedure. The ombudsman is available to employees, suppliers, contractors or third parties as a contact and confidant. He is an external, independent lawyer subject to professional secrecy who only passes on information to the internal reporting office responsible within the company, the Compliance Committee, with the express consent of the whistleblower. Information can also be passed on anonymously if desired.

Prevention of Corruption - 50Hertz's Ombudsman

50Hertz belongs to the companies which apply a zero tolerance policy and actively prevent and combat corruption. On the occasion of a reinforcement of our investment capacity, we have extended our corruption prevention program; an external ombudsman will now be available as contact and confidence person to our collaborators, suppliers and contractors, as well as to third parties. He is an external independent lawyer bound to professional secrecy. The information provided by a person will only be transmitted with his/her express consent to the Compliance Subcommittee, which is responsible of these cases in the company; by request, the information can also be transmitted anonymously.

Dr. Rainer Frank has been appointed as ombudsman of 50Hertz. He is a lawyer specialized in criminal law and in the area of economic criminal cases especially.
